GAME 79: APR. 1 2007, Toronto Maple Leafs @ New York Rangers

Bad game. There’s really not much more to say than that. With playoffs on the line you would expect a better effort, even with tired legs. The speed was there for a very brief time in the first period, and the Maple Leafs managed to walk away with a 2-2 tie. Then Sean Avery, of all people, happened. And he happened in a big way. A brawling win against Tucker, and two timely goals that fired up the Rangers was all the Leafs could handle.

The Leafs just didn’t show up for the game against the Rangers. It makes you wonder how these final three games are going to be played.
Tucker did get a nice bomb on Avery.
