‘07 Pre-Season Game 2: Winnipeg revisited
- Posted by Alex Simms on September 21st, 2007 filed in 2007-2008 Pre-Season
Welcome back to Winnipeg! Well… just for a night. I applaud the NHL for playing a game back in Winnipeg. The citizens of the city are aching to get an NHL franchise back in the MTS Centre.
The Maple Leafs looked good in this one. What stands out the most? Steen’s first period goal that made his homecoming complete. The play of Antropov, Sundin and newcomer Jason Blake. And, low and behold, the strong play of Andrew Raycroft. Yes, I said it! Razor was sharp in this game. He looked comfortable and in the zone. He took home the Leafs first win of the pre-season, and I congratulate him in the effort.
Let’s hope that three games in three nights does not bog down our boys. Till tomorrow.
