Game 3: Hockey Night in Canada classic match-up

What a game. Saturday Night, Hockey Night in Canada, and one of the best rivalries in all of sports. Toronto Maple Leafs versus the Montreal Canadians.
This game saw Toskala make back to back starts. And expect him to make some more with the performance he gave. Vesa made some unbelievable saves to keep the Leafs in the game. He definitely won some fans with his spectacular play. I am definitely one of them.
Ian White scored the Leafs opening goal at 4:34 of the first period. The Canadiens then went on to score unanswered goals, until Ponikarovsky broke out of his shell to score the 3-2 goal at 18:50 of the second frame, and then tie the game at 2:55 of the third. In overtime, penalties were abundant, but Kaberle blasted home a shot on a Francis Bouillon penalty at 3:26 of the overtime frame. This goal mark’s the 7th overtime winner for Kaberle.
Sundin also continued his strong play, assisting on three goals, including the overtime winner. Mats now has 6 points in 3 games to lead the team, a position he very well may need to keep for this team to have success.
